About Northern Red Belt

10/5/26 W3W: winced.shrug.element 5:41 pm Clear sky 69 degrees f Low elevation Old growth deciduous forest Relatively dry This fungus grew both spaced out near itself or solitarily on dead logs, belonging to either aspen, cedar, or maple. In appearance, I found them anywhere from 2 to 4 inches long across and they were all consistent in color and pattern. They are burnt orange in the center at the top, and fade into a clay orange gradient that cuts to a harsh yellowy white around the edge
